If you want to get a "previously owned" IE domain then today is a good day for you.
If you check our deleted domain list you will see that it has updated as of midday today (or thereabouts) and now includes the latest IE domain deletions. If you qualify to register the domains you can do so immediately via our website.
It's Friday - treat yourself !

How long after the renewal date passes do .ie domains become available? I've searched for an IEDR expiry policy. This is the best I could find: http://www.siliconrepublic.com/news/news.nv?storyid=single6024
Is the .ie whois renewal date updated frequently enough to be useful?
For example, suppose I wanted to register a domain that was supposedly due for renewal a month ago :)

Sorry about not replying to this sooner
The way the renewals are handled can be a bit confusing to an outsider.
If you allow about 60 days or so from the renewal date you wouldn't be too far off ...
Of course the domain you mentioned is now showing a 2008 renewal date
