Introducing Blacknig.ht

Over the last couple of years URL shorteners have gone from being “handy”, yet probably geeky, to being omnipresent.

Just about every website out there has some kind of URL shortening builtin with an increasing number of companies / sites opting to use their own branded one.

We finally got round to putting our own shortener live this weekend opting for blacknig.ht (the ccTLD for Haiti)

We will be using blacknig.ht to share links on Facebook and Twitter (and possibly elsewhere), so we can send people links without diluting our brand.

So, for example, http://blacknig.ht/domains points to http://www.blacknight.com/domains.html – shaving a few characters off the link.

For the more technically minded, we’re currently using YOURLS to run the service
