The Internet Is Alive and Well

The Irish Internet Association, of which we are members, is organising a series of debates this year.
The first debate is on the motion:The Internet is Crap and will not survive !
Needless to say I’ll be opposing the motion as will my team mates.
Full details of the event are on the IIA site here, while the event also received some coverage in Silicon Republic today

I can’t say I’m personally enamoured by the series. Why didn’t they organising a series of piss-ups or networking events, or even debates that might actually be worthwhile than simply a laugh. Perhaps in 1999, but not in 2006.
