To answer your question, Internet explorer 8 loads of cool, built in features to help make web developers lives easier!!!

Things like -

  • On the fly HTML and CSS debugging
  • JScript Debugger
  • In Built W3.org Validator
  • Power tools: Screen re-size, Colour picker and rulers
  • Ability to render for IE6, IE7, IE8 mode to test your sites backward compatability.
  • And many more.....

Just hit Shift F12 to bring up the Developer Tools and try it yourself

Thanks for the information. Since I use a Mac I can't try it for myself :)

Funny how they're only implementing this stuff now. Firefox has had this for quite a while. Also I hope its standards compliant because thats ALWAYS a problem with MSIE!

Ben

From what I can gather IE8 is built around standards, which makes a nice change :)

Not using IE8 because my pop up blocker also blocks banner ads. Ands its something that IE8 inconveniently does not do. Plus the blocker software disables right clicking in IE8. It always worked perfectly in 7.
