Which Applications / Scripts Do You Want?
We're currently working behind the scenes on a nice new shiny set of hosting services. (I've wanted to say "shiny" all day - sorry!)
One of the things that the new system should be good at delivering is pre-installed scripts alla installatron, which is our current solution.
Of course it won't be installatron, so it won't offer the current range of applications. It could offer a similar range of applications, but it would be nice to know which applications people would like to see...
Which applications are you interested in using?
Which applications can you live without?
Why do you use some scripts and not others?
Any feedback you can give us would be fantastic!

Yes - we're now offering PHPbb3 - it's a world of difference from 2.x and in many ways is a strong contender with vbulletin.

The more you have the better.
I used and still use some of them as PHPList, Wordpress, SMF, etc.
Is better to have the acript available than not.

There are potentially thousands of scripts we could offer, so it would be more helpful for us if people expressed preferences. I can add the three you've mentioned to the list :)

Hi Michele,
I suppose the big ones would I would like to see would be WordPress, Movable Type Joomla/Mambo, osCommerce, vBulletin, Gallery 2, a wiki... I'm sure I'll think of more later.

We're also offering phpBB 3. I think it's a big improvment. It's available on Installatron v5 since 4th Feb.

@Ken - the script versions listed on our site at the moment is not 100% up to date. I'll see if that can be fixed after the weekend, as phpbb3 is now available.
@Paul - thanks for the input. I'm hoping we get more input from people over the next few days so that I can put together a comprehensive list.
@Peter - we upgraded Installatron a few days ago, but we haven't updated the installer list on the site to reflect the new versions available. It's kind of low priority in some ways, as we will be focussing on a different and better method of autoinstalling scripts for clients in the near future ...

I'm not currently a customer but for me Drupal, MT, WordPress, phpBB3, MediaWiki, Gallery 2 and CubeCart would be vital. I'd like to see KnowledgeTree too.

Any chance you oculd increase it's priority, it caused a fair amount of damage to my site. there are help desk tickets concerning this.

@squid - the issues you've had are totally unrelated to what I was talking about. I'm talking about the list of applications - nothing more.

How will it work for customers already using Installatron? I use it for wordpress.
We will have to do manual updates or will the new system be able to import old Installatron stuff?

@Brian - it's a totally new hosting system which we will be launching in the coming weeks. I'll be getting the promised demo logins out to people in the coming days and once you've had a peek it will all make a lot more sense - I hope!
